About the role.

As a Time Keeping Specialist, you support the operations of our Manufacturing teams in specific locations. You are responsible for maintaining our Time and Attendance system of record and its quality of data. Our time keeping specialist provides input to the Manufacturing Payroll and report on key metrics. You would work alongside our Supervisors and Leaders, be a core part of our North American Time Keeping team and our Employee Experience Center.

  

What you’ll be doing.

  • Conduct the timely analysis and administration or time, attendance, paid time off, and payroll related items

  • Prepare the payroll files while ensuring adherence to established payroll deadlines, as well as sending all payroll adjustments to the payroll team

  • Act as the first point of contact on payroll related inquiries from employees

  • Conduct pay investigations including root cause analysis into payroll concerns/issues and prepare pay adjustments

  • Maintain accurate payroll records by means of computer-generated reports and internal balancing/auditing procedures to reduce the possibility of company liability

  • Ensure data accuracy in our Time and Attendance system, including accuracy of hours, vacations, department assignments, job code assignments, labor codes, and timecard confirmation

  • Collaborate with the factory departments in auditing daily labor usage accounts, facilitation of prompt and accurate payment for vacation and holiday payments

  • Support the set up and training of the different employees groups in accessing the time and attendance system

  • Provide coaching to users including management teams to guarantee accountability for timekeeping responsibilities, reduce frequency of unapproved time as well as errors in the payroll process

  • Provide necessary reporting for third-party agency employee hours submission

  • Participate in on-site employee meetings, town halls, and similar sessions

  

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in full-cycle payroll processing required; multi-province experience is a plus

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal)

  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems

  • Working knowledge of payroll, HR, and benefits administration is a plus

  • Familiarity with federal and provincial laws affecting payroll and employee benefit programs

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet applications, MS Excel, required. Power BI is an added advantage

  • Excellent customer service, written/verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

  • A strong appetite to combine data sets tor insights and supporting decision making

  • Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism

Compensation Package: $52,600.00 - $70,200.00 . CAD annual base salary equivalency, paid in alignment to contract term  
 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
