McCain Foods (Canada) Coaldale, AB facility has an upcoming opening for a Maintenance Stockroom Supervisor. This position will be responsible for organizing and directing the stockroom at the Coaldale plant. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will deal with issues arising from the daily stockroom operations, including security, maintenance matters, and stockroom employee supervision.

  

What you’ll be doing.

  

  • Proactively fostering and promoting the safe work habits of employees. Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are followed. Active participation in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization in the drive towards zero incidents.

  • Work closely with team members to achieve plant goals and KPIs efficiently.

  • Ensure all Company Guidelines, Rules and Regulations are being followed throughout the Security, Material Handling and Maintenance process, including the proper completion of all required documentation.

  • Develop talent and conduct on the job training with all new employees, ensuring that employees are properly trained in their positions.

  • Propose and execute continues improvement tactics such as 5S, to improve stockroom organization.

  • Manage and approve employee hours in the Kronos time keeping system.

  • Oversee performance management for the stockroom employees, including performance appraisals, coaching, and employee relations as required.

  • Develop the continuous improvement spirit through the support of the Kaizen ticket system.

  • Lead, guide, support and demonstrate ownership for all stockroom-related areas to ensure all standards are met on timely basis.

  • Manage personnel schedules

  • Participation in relevant communication sessions.

  • Conduct annual inventory cycle count

  • Responsible for Parts Management Agreement

  • Assist the maintenance department to meet the KPI targets set forth in safety, engagement, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and environment.

  • Must be flexible with personal schedule, and willing to work occasional extra hours if necessary to meet site demand.

  • Additional duties as assigned

  

What you’ll need to be successful.

  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Preference may be given to those who have equivalent experience, education, training, that gives workknowledge of the practices, processes and skills utilized in a parts/storeroom position

  • 3-5 years of Supervisory Experience in a stockroom parts management environment.

  • Forklift experience an asset.

  • Good computer skills.

  • Excellent attendance record.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Must have good written and oral communication skills

  • Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to lead a group of people in a positive and productive manner within the guidelines outlined by the company’s policies and procedures.

This role is located in Coaldale, Alberta. The incoming candidate will report to maintenance manager.

Compensation Package: $58,800.00 - $78,500.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility + Long Term Incentive eligibility

  

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
