About the role.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Cyber Security Operations to lead and transform our global SOC function into a modern, DevOps-integrated cyber operations team. This hybrid role requires a balance of strategic leadership, cross functional collaboration and hands-on technical expertise, with a focus on Microsoft MDR technologies, global security operations, and outsourced vendor management.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Lead and grow a global team of SOC analysts, engineers, and specialists across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Transform the traditional SOC model into a modern DevSecOps function focused on automation, integration, engineering and agility.
  • Oversee implementation and optimization of Microsoft security technologies, including Defender XDR, Sentinel, Intune, and Purview.
  • Lead the daily operations and strategic relationship of the outsourced Managed Detection and Response (MDR) vendor, ensuring SLA adherence and high-quality detection & response services.
  • Design and operationalize playbooks for incident detection, triage, escalation, response, and post-mortem activities.
  • Align SOC operations with enterprise risk management, compliance standards, and threat intelligence.
  • Develop and track KPIs and metrics to measure detection coverage, asset compliance, response times, containment success, and SOC maturity.
  • Ensure end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, endpoints, and cloud workloads (Azure, M365, hybrid environments).
  • Integrate DevSecOps principles by embedding security tooling into CI/CD pipelines and development lifecycles for risk based logging.
  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to improve threat resilience and automation.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and briefings on security operations health, metrics, and incident status.
  • Lead or contribute to global security programs, threat hunting, red team/blue team activities, and tabletop exercises.
  • Develop an enterprise logging strategy for security operations to enhance scale and coverage of critical infrastructure and applications.

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Lead and grow a global team of SOC analysts, engineers, and specialists across multiple regions and time zones.
  • 8–12+ years in cybersecurity roles with 5+ years in SOC leadership or Security Operations.
  • Proven experience building or scaling global SOC operations in hybrid environments.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Defender suite (MDE, MDI, MDO) and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing outsourced MDR/SOC vendors, including contract management and quality assurance.
  • Experience integrating DevOps practices and tooling (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines) into security operations.
  • Familiarity with scripting, SOAR platforms, automation frameworks (e.g., PowerShell, Logic Apps, Kusto Query Language).
  • Deep understanding of enterprise security tools (EDR, SIEM, SOAR, DLP, IAM, vulnerability management).
  • Experience with incident response, threat hunting, and advanced attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK, ransomware, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in regulated or multinational environments with 24/7 operations.
