Job Description
Job Purpose
The role focuses on strategically managing and growing the fresh potato category in North America, with responsibilities for maintaining relationships with existing customers and attracting new partners to expand market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Management: Oversee sales of table potatoes in North America, aiming to maximize volume and profitability to meet budget targets.
- Key Account Management: Manage defined key accounts, developing and executing plans to drive growth and profitability.
- Supply Chain Oversight: Handle sourcing of raw materials, order processing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
- Business Development: Lead initiatives to expand the customer base, increase sales volume, and improve business quality.
- Performance Analysis: Develop and maintain reports to analyze business performance.
- Innovation: Help to evaluate and commercialize new potato varieties to capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
- Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Strong preference for experience managing mid- to large-sized key accounts.
- Proven success in growing market share in highly competitive markets.
- Track record of proactively developing new markets and business opportunities.
- o Experience in the potato industry or agriculture sector is an asset.
Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, with the ability to create and deliver compelling sales presentations.
- Familiarity with transportation networks is an asset.
- Strong action orientation and execution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
- Comfortable working in a small, multi-functional team.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Travel: Frequent travel within the geographical area of responsibility, with occasional travel to other regions.
