Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join us in Othello, WA. This position will report directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Systems Manager. McCain Foods is seeking someone who has a strong technical background, a desire to grow as a leader in the engineering department. The ideal candidate needs excellent interpersonal skills as they will deal with everyone from general laborers and mechanics to plant management on a day-to-day basis. An ability to work in a team-based environment is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow the McCain safety, loss prevention and environmental programs by holding themselves and all team members accountable to its tenets
Manage or assist with multi-million-dollar capital projects
Assists Engineering Manager with reliability analysis of new designs to determine system, asset and component reliability
Makes specific recommendations to the Engineering Management Team to improve machinery performance and reliability based on analysis of process and failure data
Direct and lead those maintaining and developing reliability KPI’s (% worker utilization, % schedule adherence, etc.) in conformance with McCain standards
Direct and lead the maintenance of a record keeping system consistent with a world class reliability program
Responsible to perform statistical analysis on machinery failure data and work order data to determine whether adjustments to the Engineered Maintenance Strategy are warranted and perform cost/benefit analysis to set correct frequency of task(s)
Leads the Root Cause Failure Analysis effort for sporadic equipment failures and ensure failure modes addressed are appropriate
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education: minimum Undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
Can communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written work
Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical skills (e.g., root cause analysis and statistical analysis)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
Certification preferred in equipment lubrication, ultrasound, vibration, and reliability.
Displays vision and demonstrates both personal and organizational sensitivity

Compensation Package: $77,968.80 -$85,000.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
