About the role. 

The Process Specialist will be an “Area Leader” and work closely with the Process Optimization Manager to achieve production goals, KPIs, and focus on SCA projects. Responsible to ensure the production department meets targets set forth in safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale and environment (SQCDME).          

  

What you’ll be doing. 

  • Proactively foster and promote the safe work habits of employees.  Ensure proper safety policies and    procedures are followed. Active participation in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization and the drive towards zero incidents. 

  • Win with customers and consumers by understanding and promoting tools like Recipe and Product Consistency to drive First Time Quality and reduce Customer Complaints and distressed inventory.

  • Ensure all HACCP regulations are being followed throughout their area of responsibility, including the proper completion of all required documentation.

  • Assist in development and tracking the SCA (Sustainable Cost Advantage) plan for the plant. 

  • Complete Line Studies and other measurements to support efficiencies and improvements.

  • Work with OSI PI to make data driven decisions

  • Audit and assist Supervisors in managing Waste Streams. 

  • Understand and be able to Audit Global BOP’s and train operators accordingly

  • Backfill other Supervisors as required. 

  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  

What you’ll need to be successful. 

  • Must have safe work habits

  • Demonstrated progressively responsible experience working in various factory positions successfully meeting all objectives and responsibilities as required of each role. 

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written). 

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Experience with OSI Pi software and tools.

  • Expert in SAP consumption and ability to train proper SAP protocol.

  • Area Ownership” mentality.

  • Maintain attendance incident level of three (3) days or less. 

  • Ability to take on SUM (Start up Management) Leadership projects. 

  • Ability to create and rollout Standard Work and One Point Lessons

  • Maintain “Always Audit Ready” mentality. 

  • Physically capable of performing all required duties.

  • Must have or be willing to obtain Fall Protection, Scissor/Boom, Forklift, Standard Frist Aid, and Confined Space.

  

Benefits of the role. 

  • Hourly rate: $35.10, Medical benefits, Maternity/paternity leave, 5/8-day shift (Monday to Friday) with a switch to 4on/4off days eventually, Attendance incentives, Pay for skills program/education reimbursement, Health and wellness days

Compensation Package: $35.10 CAD hourly
