About the role.
McCain Foods US has an opening for an onsite Plant Manager in our Othello, WA Facility. The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall management, direction and co-ordination of plant operations in carrying out company objectives at the lowest cost consistent with safety and quality requirements. We aim to delight consumers & customers with our food and nothing we do is worth getting hurt for.
What you’ll be doing.
Oversee overall plant operations.
Ensures positive relations and a highly collaborate approach with internal/external stakeholders and community.
Proactively fostering and promoting the safe work habits of employees. Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed. Active participation in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization in the drive towards zero incidents. Leads positive safety culture, and safety engagement.
Sets direction through setting strategic objectives for the plant, accountable for achievement of plant performance objectives and setting direction and enabling a highly engaged environment through leadership practices and action planning, and in support McCain’s Winning culture and core values – Family, Authentic, Quality and Trusted.
Leads and oversees cost commitments, SCA – Sustainable Cost Advantage, overhead and direct cost budgets for each fiscal year championing continuous improvement through the active engagement of the plant team members in overall capability building.
Champions a growth mindset and Talent development focus for the facility, leading key activities and ensuring targeted development and overall organizational effectiveness and ensures all departments are working together to realize McCain objectives.
Ensures audit ready compliance focused on food safety, environmental policies, site emergency preparedness and crisis management.
What you’ll need to be successful.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Science or Business or a related field
8-10 years’ leadership experience
8-10 years’ food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred

Compensation Package: $146,200.00 -$195,000.00 USD annually + bonus eligibility + Long Term Incentive eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
