About the role.   

What you’ll be doing. 

The Microbiology Supervisor will oversee all laboratory functions as well as conduct testing in the laboratory.  The role will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise for environmental monitoring, food products, and ingredient microbiological testing.  This individual will also support food safety projects and initiatives and work with the other North America microbiology laboratories.  The position requires strong communication skills, knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, and proficiency with data analysis.  

What you’ll need to be successful. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field required 

• 3 years of experience in the food Industry strongly preferred

• 2+ years of experience in supervisory position required 

• Experience in Environmental Monitoring Programs strongly preferred

• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in basic English and interact with all levels of the organization 

• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form 

• Ability to travel approximately once per quarter to various plants in North America  

• Strong time management, project management, and organization skills

About the team.

This position will lead six members of the microbiology team in their day-to-day tasks as well as provide leadership support, conduct audits, and manage projects and initiatives at the plant and corporate levels.

Compensation Package: $65,500.00 -$87,400.00  USD annually + bonus eligibility 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
