Job Overview

We are seeking a Manager - SAP Master Data Management responsible for overseeing and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of enterprise data in the SAP S/4HANA environment. This role involves developing and implementing data governance frameworks, managing master data processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
 

1. Data Governance Strategy:
   • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data governance strategy tailored to SAP S/4HANA.
   • Define data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
   • Establish data stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization.
      
2. Master Data Management (MDM):
   • Manage master data domains (e.g., material, customer, vendor, financial data) within SAP S/4HANA.
   • Implement processes to monitor and resolve data quality issues.
   • Collaborate with business and IT teams to standardize and centralize master data management practices.
      
3. Collaboration and Leadership:
   • Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on data governance objectives.
   • Provide leadership and training to data stewards and other team members on data governance processes.
   • Drive organizational adoption of data governance tools and practices.
      
4. Compliance and Risk Management:
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal data security policies.
   • Mitigate risks related to poor data quality, inconsistent data definitions, and unauthorized access.
      
5. Tools and Technology:
   • Oversee the deployment and usage of SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) and other related tools.
   • Collaborate with IT to manage system upgrades, integrations, and optimizations related to SAP S/4HANA.
      
6. Performance Measurement:
   • Define and track data governance KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented processes.
   • Prepare reports and dashboards for senior leadership, highlighting progress and areas of improvement.

Qualifications
 

Education:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, master data management, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP MDG.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance strategies.
• Strong understanding of data quality principles, data security, and compliance frameworks.

Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and related tools (e.g., SAP MDG, Data Services).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements like GDPR, CCPA, or similar is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification in S/4HANA or MDG.
• Experience with data migration and system integration in SAP environments.
• Knowledge of BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  Compensation Package: $102,700.00 - $137,000.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
