Full General Labourer
Grade 1

McCain Foods (Canada) is currently looking for General Labourer to join our team at the Grand Falls Fry Plant
DUTIES:
- Responsible for ensuring safety of self and co-workers.
- Material handling of 19 kg boxes and bags.
- Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.
- Responsible for some sanitation duties
- Trouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP s) and Critical Control Points (CCP s).
- Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI s.
- Follow JHA s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
- Dealing with production issues, working in a fast-paced team environment
- Participate in Team meetings, as required.
- Complete core curriculum E-learning courses
- All additional duties as they become assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer skills would be an asset.
- Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees.
- Team player with excellent attendance.
- Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly.
- Demonstrate continuous initiative and involvement.
- Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate safety first on a continual basis.
NOTE: This description constitutes the minimum requirements for the General Labourer Position. Other duties may be assigned at Management s discretion.

Compensation Package: $18.69-$20.35 CAD hourly
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
