About the Role
The Forklift/Tote Operator is responsible for transporting bulk product totes under normal supervision. This role ensures the accurate movement, weighing, tracking, and handling of totes while maintaining safe work practices, supporting product quality, and keeping work areas organized and compliant with standards.
Leadership Principles
Statement of Job
Operates forklift to transport bulk product totes under normal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
• Transport bulk product totes to and from the tote off area, addback lines, and quality control.
• Weigh bulk totes of product and waste.
• Enters tote information into SAP.
• Moves totes to correct location in the Americold Cage area.
• Distributes and organizes recalled pallets by item code or cuts.
• Assists in the normal dumping of totes.
• Takes inventory of tote areas.
• Cleans and inserts new tote liners.
• Maintains, charges, and records installation batteries. Completes forklift checklist.
• Understands and participates in the techniques of the quality process.
• Promotes and adheres to company safety regulations.
• Keeps work area neat, clean, and orderly.
• Participates in factory clean-ups.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
Required Education & Competencies
• Requires moderate mental and little manual skill.
• Requires some initiative and independence.
• Requires reasonable care to avoid minor equipment damage and considerable care to avoid major injury to self or others.
• Requires forklift certification.

Work Environment
Warehouse setting with exposure to mechanical equipment, airborne particles, varying temperatures and moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations are available.

Compensation Package: $25.30/hr, additional $1.75/hr shift differential for night shift
