Job Description:
 

McCain Farms is inviting experienced equipment operators to submit expressions of interest to build our employee pool for the coming season.  Successful applicants will be considered for Regular Seasonal and Full-Time positions with all the accompanying benefits and generous pension entitlements that come with working for a leader in the provincial agricultural industry.

The Request is open to all agricultural workers who meet the following criteria:

• Must be skilled in operation and maintenance of tractors either currently or through recent and relevant past experience.

• Experience operating and maintaining equipment such as harrowers, windrowers, sprayers, harvesters, mowers, or plows.

• Must have been in operations for at least one year.

• Must possess valid Class 5 license; additional Class 3 and Class 1 are considered assets.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Must have excellent safety record and be an eager participant in team safety.

• Must have own safety boots and gloves; all other PPE is provided and required without exception. CSA approved ear and eye protection are required at all times.

• Must include references or proof of qualifications.

• Must be able to work in inclement weather, be available for flexible and/or extended hours during planting and harvesting, be comfortable both standing, bending and possibly crawling.

• Must be team oriented with good social awareness; the ability to both share and receive knowledge and information is an asset.
