Electrical Programmer

About the role.
The Electronic Technician Programmer Lead will lead and/or instruct others with the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and equipment.
What you’ll be doing.
Responsible for shift performance and the completion of scheduled maintenance work on all plant processing and packaging equipment.
Provide support during commissioning of new installations and other automation projects.
Possess the technical knowledge and ability to design or repair all types of plant network systems.
Ability to design, install, and troubleshoot PLC control systems and associated control devices using current McCain programming standards.
Performs PLC programming on project type tasks from narratives and/or verbal instruction.
Assist with the assessment of candidates and training of new and existing team members.
Lead, instructs, and assists others in the safe execution of maintenance work as directed by the Electronics Supervisor..
What you’ll need to be successful.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or technical school; or four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to program Allen-Bradley PLCs and networks, programming and design of HMI systems. Working knowledge of test equipment. Including oscilloscope, digital test meters, insulation test meggers, hand held programmers, and 4 to 20 ma source meters.
Strong computer background including PC hardware, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows
Must possess a general knowledge of Local Area Network; ability to read and understand schematics, utilize PC and PLC for diagnostics and troubleshooting; have experience with AC/DC voltages ranging from 5 to 480 volts; have experience with electrical wiring in accordance with the National Electric Code; experience with Instrumentation, motor and process controls, and experience with repairing and maintaining all types of equipment.

Compensation Package: $47.67 USD hourly + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
