About the role.

Reporting to the VP Digital Technology Strategy and Transformation, the Director, Digital Technology Operations serves as a critical operational partner to the Chief Technology Information Officer, ensuring the smooth running of the digital technology function. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our digital transformation journey. Ideal for professionals with a consulting, advisory, or transformation leadership background.

This highly visible role combines direct operational support, executive-level communication, and the ability to lead special projects that deliver business value. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented, action-driven individual who excels at coordinating complex activities, preparing high-quality executive documents, and advancing strategic priorities through practical execution.

As a highly visible individual contributor, you will steer high-impact projects, craft executive communications, and ensure operational continuity across digital programs, making a measurable difference on strategic initiatives and board-level priorities.

What you’ll be doing.

Executive Communications & Reporting

  • Develop and deliver high-quality executive-level materials: Board presentations, strategic updates, business case summaries, and progress reports.
  • Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives and data visualizations for senior audiences.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

  • Design, launch, and execute critical, time-bound projects—ranging from digital transformation accelerators to long-term process improvement initiatives.
  • Set project direction, frame issues, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive projects to successful outcomes.

Operational and Leadership Team Support

  • Ensure day-to-day operational excellence for the digital technology leadership team by proactively addressing issues, streamlining workflows, and enabling agile decision making.
  • Prepare for and facilitate leadership meetings, strategic workshops, and executive offsites—including agenda design, materials development, and action tracking.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Foster transparent, collaborative relationships across business units, technology teams, and external partners.
  • Serve as a central point for alignment, communication, and escalation—balancing strategic goals with practical realities.

Process & Performance Improvement

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend pragmatic solutions to enhance productivity, service quality, and end-user experience.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of KPIs and develop proposals for targeted enhancements.

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA or relevant Master’s) strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in management consulting (Big 4, strategy consultancies, or boutique advisory), corporate strategy, or chief of staff operations within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated success delivering executive communications, board-level analysis, or strategic project workstreams.
  • Strong excel and PowerPoint skills; proven ability to synthesize data and deliver high-impact presentations.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple, competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity, delivery focus, and a collaborative style are essential.
  • Previous exposure to digital/IT, supply chain, or consumer goods environments an advantage.
