The Prime Cutter Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating potato cutting machines in order that proper quality products are processed.
Accountabilities: Prior experience in a potato processing facility is a plus.
Operates cutters and wet graders to obtain proper product cut uniformity and to maxim-ize use of raw product.
Sharpens or replaces cutter blades as deemed necessary.
Disassembles and reassembles machinery during cleaning and as needed for cut changes.
Maintains sanitation requirements for area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Prac-tices.
Communicates problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor ensuring opera-tor and 0other appropriate personnel.
Performs required sizing checks to insure finished sizing requirements.
Performs preventative and minor maintenance on machinery.
Clears line jams as necessary
Qualifications:
Candidates are expected to have a high school diploma or GED.
Candidates are expected to have a mechanical aptitude, and ability to use computer to enter data, change machine settings and run reports.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must have ability to effectively present information before groups of customers or employees.
Skills:
Required to complete certification through the Operator Training Program.

Compensation Package: $21. 16- 23.52USD hourly + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
Shift Differential Pay: $1.50
