The Channel Manager is a critical member of the North America (NA) Go to Market Team at McCain. This role will assume responsibility for delivering exceptional in-market implementation of McCain’s sales execution to meet the dynamic and unique needs of the Foodservice Canada sub-channels that makes McCain the supplier of choice to partner with. The role requires a blend of exceptional execution, commercial business savvy and hands-on, detailed involvement in the day-to-day business.
 

  • Execute and implement the channel’s contribution to the development and shape of the annual operating commitment, through delivery of annual plans and a proactive activity calendar in line with North America, Business Units (BU) (i.e. Potatoes, Appetizers) objectives.
  • Collaborate with Commercial peers to create and maintain regular updated market mapping, environment prioritization, customer prioritization and customer growth plans.
  • Responsible to create and partner in a channel ‘ecosystem’ with sales, culinary, and analysts functions as well as broader commercial teams, bringing together this broad skill set and technical expertise to deliver a truly unique and differentiated experience for McCain customers in market.
  • Partner directly with Sales team to execute customer growth plans in the channel and delivering category customer commitments to strategic partners, achieving the sales targets for the year. 
  • Own the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective and efficient executional plans in the Channel to further McCain customer engagement and reputation to drive sustained commercial growth in line with the company strategic plan.
  • Influence new propositions and changes to existing propositions to maximize Channel relevance and prepares internal and external launch plans that engage, inspire and drive McCain stand-out.
  • Monitor, track and evaluate operational dimensions of the sales execution in the Channel with a North America and Business Unit lens as part of target setting and planning.
  • Deliver commercial and sales insight and value-added analysis, providing meaningful information that contributes to management decision making and execution.
  • Adhere to commercial controls and processes that support consistent sales execution in market, ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach across all commercial processes.
  • Be responsible for the reporting analysis, and adapted actions plans to the Channel Lead and VP Go to Market on business results.
  • Accountable for the implementation of functional plan and initiatives that aligns with annual and long-term plans to support the overall success of McCain meeting/exceeding business objectives.
  • An entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the industry.
  • The ability to deliver in line with pace and timing to meet customer expectations and support company commitments.

Compensation Package: $97,500.00 - $130,000.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility

 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
