In this day shift role, Batter Operator inputs data, monitors correct incoming batter-dry mix, operates lift trucks as needed.  Communicates any problems or changes that impact production. Maintains sanitary conditions in the processing plant, keeps bacteria at acceptable levels, operates a variety of machines while breaking the operators of these machines.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Responsibility to monitor work areas, watch for suspicious behavior and report any concerns regarding unidentified visitors and/or unauthorized personnel.
  • Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves, other employees, products, and equipment.
  • Responsibility of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the food processing facility, especially where any raw or finished product is produced.
  • Authority to report and/or eliminate hazards to the safety of the food that is produced in the facility.

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Skills:

  • Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
  • Functions as a batter operator when plant is running battered products.
  • Performs cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and area as assigned.
  • Relieves and performs the duties of operators in various departments as needed.                       
  • Operates lift trucks as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains process control and raw product report data.
  • Inputs all information into Infinity and completes all records and reports.
  • Monitors correct incoming batter-dry mix.
  • Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.
  • Communicates any problems or changes in production;"anticipated line breaks, batter shortages, Azo plug ups" to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
  • Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation and specifications are met. "Solids, Pick-up, etc..
  • Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Helps to build and promote a strong "Teamwork" environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
  • Participates in continuous improvement process.
  • Must adhere to the McCain Code of Conduct.

Compensation Package: $20.50-$22.78 USD hourly + bonus eligibility

 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.

 

Night Shift Differential Pay: $1.50/hr
