About the role.

McCain Foods (Canada) – Florenceville Prepared Foods, is currently looking for a Batter Mixer for Shift A to complete their team.


What you’ll be doing.

  • Interpret mixing formulas - Weighing, Mixing, and blending of ingredients to the recipe.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation of equipment. Maintaining a neat work area, as well as a daily housekeeping report of the area
  • Responsible for the identification and reporting of product quality issues.
  • Dealing with production issues, working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Participate in team meetings and Kaizens, as required.
  • Responsible for the yearly completion and update of the Performance Excellence Program (PEP) training and evaluation.
  • Responsible for following all safety requirements
  • Operates all of the equipment associated with Batter mixing and Batter depositing equipment
  • Perform standard tests to ensure consistent quality                                              
  • Material handling of 40 kg boxes and bags
  • Documentation of ingredient codes, ingredient temperatures and tracking of the finished product
  • Responsible for timing out the batter to ensure shift completion or change over
  • Responsible for following changes over policy and requirements
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain equipment as required
  • Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s)
  • Relay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource)
     


What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Grade 12 education or GED or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to work shifts on a rotating basis
  • Basic computer skills would be an asset
  • Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
  • Team player with excellent attendance
  • Ability to accept and embrace change in the day to day operations
  • Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly
  • Must be self-motivated with an excellent attendance record and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn to perform some autonomous maintenance activities (inspection, lubrication, etc)
  • Demonstrate continued improvement initiatives and involvement

Compensation Package:  -  Starting at21.01 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts 

 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
