About the role.
Reporting to the Office Experience Manager, the Building Services & Culinary Center Associate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the North American Headquarters of McCain, located in Oakbrook Terrace (OBT). This individual is critical to daily success of a great office experience for the employees. Specifically, the Associate will effectively receive and process all incoming and outgoing shipments for OBT location; Inventory, stock, and manage Hospitality, Office, and Culinary Supplies well as Safety Equipment; Monitor helpdesk tickets and respond to employee inquiries; Coordinate Culinary Center activities; and provide support for new projects as assigned.
What you’ll be doing.
Building Services:
- Daily walkthroughs of Office floors, assessing overall condition of premises; notifying manager of areas in need of attention.
- Responsible for perishable shipment receiving and storage in walk-in Freezer/Refrigerator units.
- Receive and distribute all incoming mail daily.
- Process all outgoing envelopes/packages. Maintain postage in meter; manage replenishment as needed.
- Process all outgoing Federal Express packages, Ship Administrator for NA operations.
- Maintain mailroom, all storage rooms, and hospitality supplies. Assure storage rooms are kept organized.
- Distribute all hospitality supplies to kitchens on each floor of office headquarters, re-supply, and inventory.
- Distribute office supplies to supply rooms, including copier supplies- paper and toner inventory.
- Office supply inventory/ordering- Bulk for copy rooms and office supply request fulfillment (including office experience snacks and drinks).
- Assist with inventory and maintenance of existing furniture and equipment.
- Assist Office Experience Manager and Coordinator with New Hire Onboarding process.
- Perform miscellaneous light labor projects including, but not limited to, workspace moves, minor repairs, small furniture moves within the space.
- Switchboard and Reception coverage, as needed.
- Monitor helpdesk (StackFM) tickets and respond/resolve employee issues where appropriate.
- Assists with meeting room and event setups within the building.
- Act as key operator for copy machines and address employee questions.
- Clean/Reset meeting rooms; resupply and inventory.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure high levels of customer service and office experience are delivered.
Culinary Center:
- Culinary Center Preventative and General Maintenance Management; Fryers, Hoods/Fans, Dish Room, Reach Ins and Walk Ins. Additional maintenance inside Reach Ins, making sure stock is rotated.
- Handle cooking requests for simple cuttings/tastings.
- Training for new Kitchen Users, including how to use fryers/ovens, freezer usage and location of product, Safety in Kitchen, Utilization of Stand Up Freezer for short term usage, Dish Machine usage, How to leave Kitchen and Culinary Center facilities when complete.
- Implement streamlined job processes by analyzing current methods and designing/developing new. Update protocols accordingly.
- Supply ordering and fulfillment as needed to ensure proper supplies in place when needed.
- PPE Room, Culinary Center and Sensory/R&D Room, Café Amenity Ordering and Management
What you’ll need to be successful.
- High School Diploma required
- 2+ years’ experience in a variety of Associate roles with focus on Mailroom/Building Services and or culinary proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications, or other Building Services Systems
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong customer focus with the ability to work with others in team environment
- Self-motivated with superior multi-talking skills
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time and spend time in a refrigerated space daily

Compensation Package: $42,300.00 - $56,500.00 . USD annually
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
