As the authorized McHale Distributor for Western Canada and Western United States, we provide expert service for a range of balers, bale wrappers, mowers, rakes, tedders, and other related hay and forage equipment. We're looking for a hands-on field service representative to support our customers with technical expertise and responsive service.

 

Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Specialist for the McHale products in the field, providing the highest quality technical support, hands-on service, and expert guidance to our customers and dealers. This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of strong customer relationships and has proven experience in product demonstration and aftermarket service support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver field support for McHale balers, wrappers, and related machinery, including but not limited to diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on McHale Machinery.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and equipment walkarounds at farms, shows, and events
  • Address customer questions with high-level product knowledge and service skills
  • Build lasting customer relationships through responsiveness, knowledge, and service skills
  • Collaborate with the dealer sales teams to grow and retain the customer base
  • Track and manage parts requirements and inventory needs related to McHale Equipment
  • Travel as needed to support equipment set up, troubleshooting, and customer safety education
  • Oversee the service team and guide the assembly of McHale Equipment
  • Complete service reports, documentation, and communicate findings to the service team
  • Always represent the company professionally and uphold customer service standards

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with the McHale Equipment (sales, service, or technical support)
  • Factory training from McHale
  • Proven track record in customer service, training, and technical demonstrations
  • Familiarity with agricultural shows and dealer support events
  • Valid drivers license
  • Strong understanding of competitor equipment and market positioning
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Strong presentation skills for demos and customer education
  • High level of organization
  • Comfortable handling in-person, phone, and email communication
  • Skilled at resolving complaints and recommending effective solutions

 

Working Conditions:

  • Field-based work during the spring & summer months
  • Office-based work during the fall & winter months
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
  • Travel required within Canada
