The Opportunity:

 

Sales Coordinator, US Retail, supports the Sales Execution Manger and sales efforts to grow volume and revenue across both Meat Protein and Alt Protein at MLF USA and in the Retail Channel. Profitable growth in the USA is essential to Maple Leaf Foods performance. This role ensures that the Sales Execution Manager, sales team, and our customers receive essential support for growing sales, maintaining ongoing business, and commercializing innovation projects by executing tasks and coordinating workstreams of many internal functional contributors and external stakeholders. 
 

Sales Coordinator influences sales team performance by getting work done in the background to enable sales execution and ultimately building customer satisfaction and loyalty in the process.  Both individual contributions and peer leadership are critical to success in this role. Navigating daily demands and properly prioritizing work is necessary to be effective in this role.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Customer Portal Data Management: work with sales team and customers directly to make sure required MLF company and product info is loaded and up to date in their portals and databases.
  • Cross functional support for business and innovation projects: Liaison between sales and support functions managing business and innovation projects, manages PDP process, coordinates necessary workstreams, execution timelines, and interfaces with internal and external stakeholders in private label innovation projects, with emphasis on effective execution. Get things done.
  • General sales support: coordinates samples requests and shipments, manages online customer complaint database, distributes regular reports and syndicated data, maintains file system for presentation content and customer sales plans, execute ad hoc projects at direction of leadership.
  • Maintain sales project/innovation/opportunity trackers: maintains details and status of sales projects and business opportunities from concept to commercialization. Maintains corresponding impact analysis and win loss data.
  • Brokerage statement maintenance and reconciliation: prepare brokerage reports, review for anomalies and adjust where necessary, and send to sales for validation and approval.
  • Cross-functional business coordination: Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams as appropriate to both promote customer satisfaction and internal stakeholder alignment
