Job Description
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Site Leader, this role will oversee the implementation all maintenance / automation and engineering long-term strategies / programs aligned with corporate asset reliability & site objectives. Key responsibilities to include, however not limited to, operational equipment maintenance budget, management of continuous improvement initiatives, implement modern manufacturing principles and oversee staffing, training, work practices and processes.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Develop, implement, and executes maintenance and maintenance related strategies through Operations Excellence System (OES) principles
- Provide strategic guidance and technical direction on reliability / automation and engineering site initiatives
- Lead developing strategies and tactics focused on reliability Key Performance Indicators (KPI s)
- Leads and develops the reliability / automation & engineering departmental annual budgets
- Defines & implements reliability / automation & engineering management processes including documentation and change control to meet customer, regulatory, manufacturing and purchasing requirements
- Management of third-party services supporting reliability / automation & engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate and execute site capital projects through continuous improvement & equipment reliability and engineering initiatives
- Participation of recruitment and assessments through job performance of direct & indirect reports.
- Participate & develop people strategies through coaching, training, & development of reliability and engineering team members.
- Actively participate with the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Leads industrial engineering in the development and maintenance of; labour standards, capability studies, layouts, manning charts, mass balance assessments and process simulations.
