The Opportunity:

 

Reporting to the Human Resources Supervisor, this position leads activities that support the plant in all area’s recruitment including career and job fairs, outreach with local employment agencies, screening, and interviewing. This individual will also have responsibility of work permit compliance.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Execute the recruitment action plan and recommend enhancements to ensure the labour needs of the plant are met
  • Organize, participate and deliver job and career fairs
  • Liaise with and build strong working relationships with local employment agencies, outreach groups, and targeted communities to support recruitment
  • Develop, track, report and maintain detailed accurate records relating to hourly recruitment for internal and external reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or business-related field
  • 3 to 5 years of recruitment experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Experience with temporary foreign recruitment and settlement is considered an asset
  • Good working knowledge of HR program delivery
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
