The Opportunity:

 

The HRBP plays an integral role in supporting our business partners to achieve their business objectives through proactive engagement and execution of people priorities.  This role requires well-rounded HR partner experience with proven ability to build impactful relationships.  This position will appeal to candidates who are solution-focused and have a passion for contributing towards employee engagement. Navigating multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment will be essential for success. The role will have a dedicated client group and will collaborate with the broader HRBP Operations team

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Provide HR support in talent and performance management, employee relations, recruitment, compensation matters, leadership and learning, and other key HR processes.
  • Collaborate directly with business leaders to address talent needs and people priorities
  • Coach and provide guidance on employee relations, performance MLF Values and Leadership capabilities
  • Support people survey process and action planning to foster employee engagement
  • Identify learning and development opportunities aligned with functional and leadership competencies
  • Participate in change management initiatives in support of the business
  • Navigate HR systems (SAP)and data analytics insights
  • Partner with HR COE s for comprehensive and efficient service to the business
  • Participate on projects to improve service and/or efficiencies

 

What You ll Bring:

  • 3+ years as an HR professional with direct business partner experience
  • Post-secondary education, with ongoing commitment to continuous learning
  • Skilled in facilitating performance and talent management initiatives
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to coach and influence all levels
  • Able to build credibility through strong relationship management and engagement
  • Highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Solution-focused approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Proactive self-starter and collaborative team member
  • Agility and resiliency to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly aligned with Maple Leaf Foods Leadership Values & Capabilities
  • Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP preferred
