The Opportunity:

 

The FSQA Coordinator is responsible for ensuring day to day FSQA processes and procedures are followed. The incumbent will lead & engage cross functional teams to ensure compliance with Food Safety programs and requirements.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Coordinate and execute SOP changes through SAP, including document review and control of the approval process.
  • Coordinate the Hold and Release program through SAP and ensure compliance
  • Track, trend, and communicate the performance of the plant deviation status including closure rates and quality of responses entered to SAP (QN s)
  • Track and trend quality related deviations and complete process capability analysis of data in our Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Track documentation of all audit results and the identified non-compliances etc. and appropriate corrective actions and preventative measures.
  • Consolidate weekly food safety and quality results and prepare summaries to present to Senior Management.
  • Take an active role in the environmental testing program and work on solutions to problematic areas
  • Participate in annual validations of critical processes including allergen validation and sanitation effectiveness.
  • Ability to enter data and complete trace exercises with use of daily production forms and SAP
  • Maintaining the EMP program through swabbing, microbiological testing and data analysis to ensure compliance.
  • Support HACCP specialist by monitoring records and in house audits
  • Support FSQA Supervisors with ongoing food safety and quality investigations
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control to utilize in trending and tracking
  • Recognize, Support and Commit to the Safety Promise
  • Must be flexible in hours of work to accommodate position responsibilities to cover different shifts to ensure the integrity of Food Safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What You ll Bring:

  • College or University degree preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or a related discipline
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and coach others, be self-directed and motivated
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong aptitude and inclination to learn and use new software
  • The successful candidate will be business, results and values oriented, work part of a cross-functional team
  • A thorough understanding of lab methodology and food microbiology
  • 3 to 6 years food related experience in a HACCP recognized plant
  • Experience with developing/maintaining a Hold and Release program and SAP management
  • Detail oriented with exemplary organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills to download and process data
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
