Key Accountabilities

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
Preform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment safely while abiding by all policies & procedures
Follow company policies (performance, safety, etc.)
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
Perform administrative tasks including completing permits, parts ordering, and work order completion.
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
Ability to perform physical job duties which include lifting up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and kneeling.
Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and control systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and P&IDs
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley hardware: Drives, PLCs, HMIs
Solid understanding of industrial control systems and automation principles.
Must have own transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a plant or production environment (manufacturing, processing or similar)
Basic commercial construction experience (conduit installation, panel wiring, lighting)
Familiarity with networking basics (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet)
Basic computer skills
Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration
Ability to work different shifts and overtime if required.
