Technology Operations Lead, Operations

 

Hybrid: 4 Days/Week in office. 1 Day Remote

 

Brampton, ON

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Lead?to join our Operations team. You will participate in driving?technology and leading and inspiring an Operational team. You will be responsible for?the 24/7 Operations of Production systems that operate in both GCP and Azure platforms. 
 

 

The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys operational excellence, SRE & DevOps principles and has a high standard of quality.? 

 

 
You will be working in a fast-paced organization using Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver excellent solutions to meet our customer and operations requirements.? 

 

What You ll Do:  

  • Champion Operational Excellence:?Lead by example in implementing and advocating for engineering best practices within our operations, fostering a culture of relentless continuous improvement and innovation. 
  • Shape Future Operations:?Strategically develop, refine, and optimize our operational practices and procedures, directly contributing to enhanced efficiency, resilience, and overall system performance. 
  • Fortify Our Digital Defenses:?Proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats, ensuring robust compliance with our stringent security standards and safeguarding critical company assets. 
  • Drive Seamless Software Delivery:?Collaborate intimately with our engineering teams to accelerate and optimize the deployment of cutting-edge software releases into production, ensuring peak efficiency and reliability. 
  • Architect Critical Infrastructure:?Take full ownership of our vital configuration management platforms, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our core systems. 

 

 

What you Bring: 

  • ITIL Service Management Experience:?Extensive experience applying ITIL principles to Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management, ensuring structured and effective service delivery and operational stability. 
  • Logical and Creative Technical Troubleshooting Skills: Extensive experience troubleshooting software and or hardware issues in an IT environment. 
  • DevOps/SRE Experience:?A deep understanding and practical experience with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and data-driven performance through SLOs and KPIs. 
  • Cloud Experience:?Proven expertise across leading cloud platforms, including Azure, and/or GCP, enabling you to design and manage resilient, scalable cloud-native solutions. 
  • Troubleshooting using SRE Stack:?Hands-on proficiency with modern logging, monitoring, reporting and alerting systems (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Service Now) to proactively identify issues and gain actionable insights into system health. 
  • Influence Automation:?Negotiation and communication skills with both business and technology teams to make changes that would improve operational efficiency as part of continuous improvement.
