About the Role: 

 

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Specialist, Compensation to join our Total Rewards team. In this role, you will support various compensation activities, ensuring our programs are administered effectively, compliant, and aligned with business needs. You will work collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Compensation, HR Business Partners, and other HR functions. 
 

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Provide support and guidance on compensation-related inquiries to HR Business Partners and client groups. 
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of compensation programs and initiatives. 
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking studies to inform compensation decisions. 
  • Perform job evaluations and classifications, ensuring consistency and adherence to established frameworks (including Hay system). 
  • Assist in ensuring compensation programs comply with company policies and government regulations. 
  • Support the development and maintenance of compensation policies and guidelines. 
  • Assist with communication efforts for compensation programs. 
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting for compensation insights. 
  • Participate in compensation projects and support annual program cycles (e.g., year-end, STIP). 
  • Resolve compensation inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed. 


 

What You'll Need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field. 
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Compensation or Total Rewards. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Solid understanding of compensation principles and job evaluation methodologies. 
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office applications. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service focus. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Assets:?CCP designation, retail industry experience.
