Job Description:

 

The Senior Manager, Planning & Governance reports to the Senior Director, Strategy & IMC Governance (Pharmacy) and plays a key role in driving operational alignment across the Pharmacy and Healthcare ecosystem.

This role leads coordination for the Shoppers Drug Mart Initiative Management Committee (IMC), a monthly governance forum for all Front Store and Healthcare technology initiatives. It also supports the intake and prioritization process for pharmacy and healthcare initiatives and leads planning for internal team engagement forums.

The ideal candidate is strategic, curious, and people-oriented, passionate about connecting work and teams to enable effective planning, prioritization, and governance.
 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead coordination for the SDM Initiative Management Committee (IMC), the monthly governance forum for all Front Store and Healthcare technology initiatives
  • Support the intake and prioritization process for Pharmacy and Healthcare initiatives, including governance meeting support and sustainment of tools and templates
  • Lead planning and logistics for key internal team engagement forums
  • Prepare communication and presentation materials for senior leadership as needed
  • Partner across functions to support seamless collaboration and visibility
  • Maintain and evolve key planning and governance templates/tools used by the team

 

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or program management within a complex business or healthcare environment
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage timelines and competing priorities
  • Experience supporting senior leadership or executive-level forums is an asset
  • Familiarity with planning, governance, or intake models is preferred
  • Post-secondary education in business, healthcare, or a related field is an asset
