Senior Specialist Strategic PMO, Brampton, ON

 

Join the LTA Governance Operations & Technology (GOT) team as a Senior Specialist, Strategic PMO. Be part of a dynamic group that embraces cutting-edge technologies and fosters diversity and collaboration while challenging the status quo. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the structure and governance for planning, prioritizing, governing, and tracking technology projects.

 

What You ll Do:

  • Develop Governance Frameworks: Establish robust frameworks for project planning and prioritization to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Project Oversight: Implement governance structures to monitor project progress and adherence to timelines, scope, and budgets.
  • Strategic Gating: Manage the intake process and summarizing all the requests for review by the Chief Technology & Analytics Officer (CTAO) and Finance team.
  • Annual Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project priorities based on organizational goals.
  • PPM Toolkit Administration: Assist in managing tools like Jira and Confluence to support the project management and delivery lead community.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Utilize PPM tools to track project metrics and generate reports for leadership review.

 

What you Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience working as part of an Information Technology team, or within the Technology industry, or in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a strong grasp of project management, with 3+ years in leading technology projects (PMP certification is highly desirable).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority or leadership.
  • Proficient in project management software such as Jira, expert in using Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies is a plus
