Reporting directly to the Director, Pharmacy Service Analytics, the incumbent is responsible for analyzing and reporting on SDM and Loblaw Health and Wellness initiatives, identifying areas of opportunities, success factors and potential barriers. The ideal candidate is someone with an analytical mindset and a proven ability to quickly grasp unstructured situations, drive insights from both the quantitative and qualitative information available, and present results and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead the translation of various stakeholder requests and questions into analytical problems. Requests can be strategic or tactical in nature, including but not limited to patient outcomes, segmentations, development of dashboards and reports
  • Working proactively to develop patient insights in key areas, build dashboards to inform on priority initiatives, and develop a strong relationship with business partners to help in their day-to-day decision making
  • Design, develop, and maintain various KPI dashboards and reports to identify and track pharmacy program eligibility and outcomes following service delivery
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources
  • Develop and automate reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery
  • Effectively communicate across different forums and audiences verbally and in writing (e.g. formal presentations, one-on-one meetings, in front of large audiences, with business leaders)
  • Provide and clearly articulate actionable insights based on thorough analysis of complex data sets and macro trends that can be utilized by senior management for strategic decision-making processes
  • Stay abreast with current trends and regulatory changes in pharmacy sector across different regions in Canada; as well as internal and competitors initiatives that may impact market share

What you will need:

  • Proven experience in an analytical role. Experience ideally in Retail, Pharmacy or Health related sector
  • Post secondary education equivalent to a university degree in business or technology
  • Advanced computer skills to produce reports, dashboards and presentations, as required:
  • Expert knowledge MS Office software (including Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong experience with SQL/Teradata/Python programming and business intelligence software (e.g., PowerBI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • Innovative self-starter and patient centric thinking, with strong critical thinking / problem solving skills and ability to take requests vague in nature, and distill them into practical insights
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities and move in a fast-paced dynamic environment, while maintaining ability to influence across all levels of the team and in the organization
  • Ability to build and maintain effective cross functional relationships
