Senior Manager, Strategy Marketing & Brands - 12mth Contract

 

The Sr. Manager, Strategy Marketing & Brands supports the transformation and enablement of a data and insights-driven marketing organization. The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight and optimizations leveraging the expertise of our brand teams to drive business growth, enhance brand presence, and achieve key organizational objectives. To drive impact, they build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the marketing organization to implement best-in-class practices for marketing productivity, leverage data and insights into strategic plans, and support with analytics and measurement capabilities. Ultimately, providing strategic expertise and capability support to help inform and propel our world-class Marketing & Brand teams.

 

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of market dynamics and a proven track record in developing and implementing successful strategic Marketing frameworks and plans.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Productivity: Collaborate with internal partners to leverage analytics, customer research and trends, to enable leaders across the Marketing organization to formulate insight driven strategies. Translate Marketing's strategic priorities into actionable insights and analytics needs with a clear plan to effectively address them. Implement processes and tools such as standardized brief templates to build consistency and adoption throughout the Marketing organization.
  • Marketing Measurement: Support in the development of a marketing measurement framework and dashboard, including defining KPIs and establishing baseline benchmarks to assess marketing campaign performance. Incorporates both stakeholder input and external research to ensure the framework reflects leading practice. Works closely with Marketing Brand teams, Loblaw Agency, Loblaw Media, and Loblaw Digital to implement and measure strategies based on established baseline metrics.
  • Partnership: Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams across the organization (e.g., LD, Customer COE, DI&A, Divisional Analytics teams, Loblaw Media) to advance Marketing priorities. Ultimately, advocating for tools and cross-functional support, measurement and insights needs, and ensuring accessibility to required inputs from the organization. 
  • Upskilling & Change Management: Support the development and delivery of programs to upskill Marketing teams in productivity, enabling data-driven marketing plans and briefs, and promoting the use of data and insights as a core component of marketing strategy development
  • Innovation: Translate insights from market trends, tech advancements, and evolving customer needs into forward-thinking, actionable marketing strategies and brand experiences.  Contribute to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to drive business growth for our brands.

 

Key Skills & Capabilities:

  • Strong understanding of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes.
  • Ability to translate insights and analytics into actionable strategic frameworks and outcomes.
  • In-depth understanding of brand marketing processes from planning to execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing, and measuring successful marketing strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in budget and project management
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 

 

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Seasoned experience with data management platforms, and data analytics tools
  • Experience with statistical reporting, modeling and quantitative analysis 
  • Demonstrated experience in retail marketing, digital marketing, consumer packaged goods would be a key asset.
