Reporting to the Sr. Director, Retail Financial Planning & Analysis, the Sr. Manager, Central Pharmacy Services (CPS), Finance is the finance partner to the CPS Management team and leads all financial aspects of the business including but not limited to the reporting, planning and analysis of all P&L line items. This role is a key ?nance support for the CPS business leads to understand performance and highlight areas of opportunities or risks.  


What you'll do: 

  • Take ownership and lead all financial aspects of the CPS business
  • Manage accurate and timely execution of period end close including leading period end review with management team and site leads. Provide variance analysis to business partners on actual performance vs. forecast, plan and prior year and carve out key insights.
  • Lead the forecast and budget process (LRP and CYP) including validating expense assumptions with various business stakeholders and providing insights on expense trends, cost savings opportunities and risks
  • Develop and streamline Controllership processes to ensure standardization with the Enterprise but meeting needs of business partners
  • Analyze, identify, and recommend improvement initiatives and systems modifications to increase productivity and efficiency within the department
  • Mentor and coach SFA in achieving their goals and IDPs, provide feedback and address any performance issues
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key critical initiatives as needed
  • Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects and initiatives as required


What you bring:

  • A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate and/or retail will be considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years' finance or accounting experience
  • Professional Finance Designations such as CPA
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to bring together and manage interactions with employees from across the organization
  • Proven People Management and Coaching skills
  • Strong eye for business, with an ability to focus on continuous improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Results Oriented and Critical Thinking skills
  • Advanced Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel (pivot table, v-look up and creating formulas)
  • Familiarity with SAP, PowerBI and MicroStrategy will be an asset
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
