What You ll Do:

  • Transmission and receiving of all information relevant to the driver performing their day to day duties within the company and customer requirements
  • Reviewing all drivers on southbound meat loads to ensure they send in the required meat inspections before carrying on south with their trip. Escalating any discrepancies or missed inspections with the driver or internally to ensure we are in compliance.
  • Handling of all driver related satellite messages, emails, calls within assigned and overflow queues
  • Follow up with Planning team to ensure drivers are preplanned on shipments before their PTA date/time
  • Ensuring drivers are receiving their load assignments timely and in advance
  • Ensuring each driver confirms the load assignments assigned to them. Escalating any concerns to the Driver Manager should they arise (driver refusal, sick/breakdown calls causing drivers to have to come off of plans)
  • Daily tracking of drivers enroute to ensure they are running on time on their trips
  • Escalating any changes to etas for arrival to shipper/receiver during the drivers trip to ensure customer/internal communication happens with all needed parties and appts are rebooked accordingly
  • Recognition, communication, and documentation of situations that should be reviewed by other parties for information, action and record keeping purposes (i.e. initial late communication, acting on on the road breakdowns, initial driver complaints, and driver related issues)
  • Work on behalf of the driver and company to resolve any day to day issues that may arise (breakdowns, load assignment questions, eta/pta updates, general questions/concerns)
  • Ensuring, if appts have not already been booked, communication is made to Loblaw CSR with proper driver eta s so pick up/delivery appts are booked on all orders timely

 

What You ll Need:

  • Strong organization skills would be an asset 
  • College Education preferred 
  • 1-2 years of related work experience (Transport/Supply Chain/Warehouse) 
  • Excellent communication skills are an asset 
  • Must have strong leadership skills 
  • Must have the ability to multitask, make decisions and problem solve
  • Shift is 0400-1600; four days on, four days off.
