As the Director of Product Analytics at Loblaw, you will lead a high-impact team focused on using data to improve customer experiences across our digital products. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Business stakeholders to define key metrics, measure product feature performance, user journeys and funnels,  run experiments, and generate actionable insights. Your work will guide strategic decisions across the organization and help deliver better outcomes for Loblaw customers at massive scale.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the end-to-end analytics strategy for key digital product areas such as search, browse, checkout, mobile app, web and personalization
  • Define success metrics and KPI frameworks for product features and initiatives
  • Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to provide insight into product performance and customer behavior
  • Drive A/B testing and experimentation programs using tools like Optimizely, VWO, and other experimentation platforms
  • Guide the team in analyzing funnel performance, feature adoption, and retention using tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Indicative, Looker etc
  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting solutions to support product and business decision-making
  • Manage and grow a team, promoting a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Work closely with data engineering to ensure reliable and timely data pipelines and product instrumentation
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for senior leadership to drive product strategy

 

You Will Thrive In This Role If You:

  • Have a strong understanding of digital product development and customer experience
  • Are equally comfortable with high-level strategy and hands-on data analysis
  • Bring a collaborative and solution-oriented approach to working with cross-functional teams
  • Have experience mentoring and scaling high-performing analytics teams

 

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, or related fields, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
  • Strong experience in A/B testing and experimentation, including tools like Optimizely, VWO, and other experimentation platforms
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python and modern data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and GCP
  • Experience with funnel and product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Adobe Analytics, or Google Analytics
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts, product measurement, and data storytelling
  • Bachelor's or Master s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in eCommerce, retail, or large-scale consumer technology
  • Experience working on CDPs, personalization, segmentation, or recommendation systems
