Job Description:

 

The Business Process Specialist, SDM partners with the Merchandising teams in vendor and article master data creation and maintenance.  The incumbent will liase with vendors, marketing services, CDM, Central Supply Chain, SDM and LCL Merchandising teams to ensure data updates are performed in SAP and CPMS alike.

 

Role Accountabilities:

  • Working with vendors to get vendor master data created and products listed as well as maintenance executed
  • Collaborate with CDM-Vendor, CDM-Article, Central Supply Chain, LCL Category and Marketing Services to get updates completed in CPMS and SAP
  • Work with Marketing Services directly replacing current Category involvement
  • Will be using the Vendorboard & Vendor Portal
  • Navigate and interpret SAP data; CPMS and TecSys data
  • Develop relationships with the SDM merchandising business to be able to support
  • Apply a high level quality of data integrity, understanding the importance of data throughout the multiple work and system streams and help educate others.
  • Deep diving into trends within audit reports. Troubleshoot and escalate major issues.
  • Ensure adherence to documented processes and controls
  • Use and request updates in Article Workflow (AWF) for both creating articles and requesting maintenance (Function Based Maintenance, FBM)
  • Replacing Category Director (for SDM) in article create
  • Replacing AM (for SDM) in FBM
  • Ability to enter First Cost for SDM when an article was created for Loblaw prior to conversion
  • Coordinate Vendor and Article Master data updates required to execute / manage planogram or promotions at Shoppers Drug Mart
  • Manage Control Brand variations in process (article create / article maintenance)
  • Review DC audit reports and ensure SAP and CPMS remain in sync for DC PIR s and assortment
  • Trouble shoot issues related to categories they are responsible for (as primary or the back up)
  • Ad hoc data cleanup projects as required
  • Other duties as required

 

Role Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education Business or related field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent knowledge of company systems including but not exclusive to SAP article creation and maintenance tcodes, Microstrategy and Article Workflow, CPMS and others.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a demanding and continually changing environment, and to solve problems with high attention to detail. 
  • Creative problem solver and strategic thinker with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
