This individual will be part of the Central Pharmacy Services Automation team. He/she will act as key contact for the Central Pharmacy Services business unit and be responsible to pull in the right stakeholders as required. To do this, this individual will need to build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Loblaw Technology and Automation team, external automation vendors and the Central Pharmacy Services National Operations sites and Customer Success team.

 

This individual will be responsible to support automation initiatives by ensuring that work is on track, engaging and coordinating activities with the right stakeholders, providing timely and accurate updates, and ensuring that the final product meets the business requirements

 

Role & Responsibilities

 

· Partner with operations/business teams to identify, coordinate and deliver enhancements and process improvements to reduce cost-to-fill, improve customer satisfaction and reduce quality errors

 

- Help identify opportunities for improvement. Tasks may include: process and data flow mapping, time studies, preparation of job aids and SOPs, etc.

 

- Lead prioritization and budget exercise for automation initiatives

 

- Bring new proposals to RAP process for review, alignment and prioritization

 

- Help build business case, document and identify business requirements

 

- Ensure standardization of functionality and processes across National Operations sites

 

- Coordinate completion of intake forms, and participate in required ceremonies

 

- Ensure business readiness: Verify that impact of new functionality is understood, that release notes are available and shared, that SOPs and job aids have been created and that training has been delivered.

 

· Facilitate business validation of enhancements and upgrades to ensure a successful implementation and adoption by the business

 

- Act as single point-of-contact (SPOC) for testing on behalf of Central Pharmacy Services (CPS)

 

- Maintain list of CPS subject-matter experts that can participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and other validation exercises

 

- Coordinate testing with the sites and other business functions, as required

 

· Act as Subject-Matter Expert (SME) on business processes and automation functionality

 

- Develop intimate knowledge of business process from end-to-end, including process at stores and production of convenient packs (CPAKs) and vials at the sites

 

- Act as back-up for Automation Specialist

 

· Role may require coordination of activities with automation vendors

 

- Obtain quotes for equipment, spare parts, and services;

 

- Centralize purchasing and invoicing process for Central Pharmacy Services;

 

- Coordinate receiving and returning of equipment and parts to vendor;

 

- Request prepare and present incident data and identify opportunities for improvement

 

· Travel to sites may be required

 

Profile

 

· At least 2-3 years of experience in project coordination and automation

 

· Experience in the pharmaceutical industry an asset

 

· Able to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines

 

· Strong tracking and documentation processes

 

· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers;

 

· Ability to interact in a multidisciplinary team environment.

 

· Collaborate with seasoned and highly technical stakeholders

 

· Fluent English. French would be highly advantageous.
