About the Role:
The purpose of this internship is to aid the Marketing and Communications department in raising the profile of the company by showcasing the company’s products, services and people through implementing effective public relations, marketing, and communications programs. In addition, this internship will offer opportunities to enhance your portfolio, put classroom skills into action, and work with multiple business units.

What will you do?

• Assist in the marketing and communication of the Landus brand including written and visual content, promotional materials, website updates, and marketing campaigns.
• Assist with marketing and communication efforts and needs of our grain, feed, agronomy and sales departments.
• Assist with the team SharePoint site to ensure current materials are available for team members to use in promotional campaigns.
• Assist and provide input into the digital and print advertising content creation activities.
• Writing projects as assigned that align with brand standards and style of Landus.
• Assist in public/media relations efforts including research, writing, building pitches and identifying influencers.
• Work directly with internal sales and technical team seeking their feedback on marketing content.
• Attend team meetings and events and contribute marketing recommendations based on learnings.
• Attend meetings as needed with external marketing agencies to assist in our marketing efforts.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting coverage of Landus in traditional media, online and in social media.
• Aid in the development of content for the internal and external digital newsletter(s).
• Assist business units with customer-facing communications need.
• Assist in the content development as well as coordination of brochures, collateral, video, event, displays, etc.
• Assist with updating and organization contact or Excel files and databases for internal customers’ marketing/communications projects.
• Assist digital media specialist to shoot and edit photos and videos at events and in day-to-day activities as needed for use in future publications and social media.
• Assist in radio and print advertising writing and publication.
• Work as a communications & marketing team member in meeting needs of internal customers.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary program with an emphasis in communications, marketing, and/or journalism.

Licenses, Registrations, Certificates:

• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.

Location & Commitments:

• Frequent use of hands and fingers to prod, handle, feel, or reach.
• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to focus vision.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
