Position: We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional in the Dairy Animal Nutrition Industry to lead strategic growth initiatives for the Dairy feed portfolio, including milk replacer, young animal, and adult cow segments. This role owns the P&L and marketing strategy, including budget planning, product assortment and innovation, channel placement/strategy, pricing, and promotions.
As a cross-functional team leader, you will collaborate with R&D, Sales, Central Marketing, Additive Marketing, Supply Chain, and Income Optimization to drive innovation and execute business plans. A strong emphasis on milk replacer and young animal growth is critical to success. The ideal candidate will also engage with key industry leaders and suppliers to advance strategic objectives.
Job Scope: Responsible for developing and executing the Annual and Long-Range Business Plans; including Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Action Plans, Innovation Pipeline and Measurement (Key Performance Indicators)
Sets and leads marketing strategy; Product, Price, Placement & Promotion decisions, as well as fit with company capabilities, competitive Environment, and delivering on consumer/customer needs
Has P&L responsibility and is accountable for activities including (but not limited to) product improvements, SKU rationalization, market research (in conjunction with Corporate Insights team), innovation pipeline
Develops channel strategies based on consumer/customer needs to drive go-to-market strategies
Manages marketing and trade budget. Anticipates business performance trends and makes adjustments necessary to achieve plan.
Develops the tools, programs, trade and pricing strategies and promotions to support product initiatives
Leads cross-functional teams (Sales, Central Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, Income Optimization) to identify, prioritize and execute initiatives to meet business performance targets (volume, profit)
Leverages sales, customer, and channel insights to develop product selling stories
Evaluate new business opportunities for strategic fit, operational feasibility, profit, volume, etc.
Manage 1-2 direct reports (Associate Marketing Managers); Provide training, feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career path guidance.
Competencies-Skills (Required): 5+ years marketing experience, including P&L ownership
MBA preferred; 4-year degree required
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills
Experience in developing and managing business cases
Strategic thinking, creativity, effective analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver results in a positive manner
Self-motivated and able to own projects and to execute with focus and accountability
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Competencies-Skills (Preferred): 5+ years of experience in dairy feed including milk replacer, young animal, or adult cow nutrition
Previous B2B Marketing experience
Experience managing direct reports preferred
Familiarity with Stage Gate / New Product Development process
Experience with brand and product marketing and business management, including annual/long-range planning, pricing/profit analysis, and execution of national/regional consumer and trade programs
Cross functional collaborator with experience in transformational change
Travel required up to 25%
Location: Hybrid, in-office at Arden Hills 3 days/week starting in Jan 2026
The salary range for this role is $120,880 - $181,320. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.
