Lallemand Inc. is a privately held Canadian company, founded at the end of the 19th century, specializing in the development, production, and marketing of yeasts and bacteria. The company operates ten business units: Animal Nutrition, Baking, Bio- Ingredients, Biofuels & Distilled Spirits, Brewing, Health Solutions, Manufacturing & Specialty Cultures, Oenology, Pharma, and Plant Care. Administrative offices for the parent company are in Montreal, Canada and for the Plant Care business unit in Toulouse, France.

 

Lallemand Plant Care specializes in developing, producing and marketing microbial bioprotection, biostimulation and biofertilization products that improve productivity and plant vitality, and selected for sustainability and efficiency.

 

Main functions
We are looking to hire a Strategic Marketing Manager who will be in charge of leading our company's marketing efforts in North America across a range of associated businesses in forestry, broad acre crops and specialty agriculture. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for working hand-in-hand with the Commercial Director to evaluate and develop marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company's various brands. You will also be working closely with our sales department to develop a pricing strategy that optimizes the value proposition and takes into account the complexities of a multi-tier distribution network.

  • Develop, communicate and implement a coherent marketing strategy for each market.
  • Directing, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, including advertising campaigns
  • Contributing to product mix decisions in each of the market segments
  • Assist in developing budgets, tracking performance against the budget and collaborating closely with the Commercial Director to adjust the tactical plan as needed.
  • Coordinating the organization of company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
  • Building brand awareness and positioning.
  • Evaluating competitors.
  • Managing social media, public relation efforts, and content marketing.
  • Managing marketing team members
  • Managing relationships with external vendors and agencies

 


Required qualifications
Professional Skills

  • Bachelors or master's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Experience in marketing and running a marketing team.
  • Experience with creating a marketing campaign, marketing strategy, and marketing plan.
  • Experience in the agricultural market in North America, ideally in marketing biological products for broad acre or specialty crops
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic.
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management.
  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
