Job Description:

Kauai Coffee is seeking a Warehouse Manager to supervise the daily operations of our Finished Goods and Green Bean warehouses, which includes overseeing and leading warehouse staff and the duties of team members across receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory control to achieve productivity goals and company objectives. Strong leadership experience is required as you will provide the highest standards of service to Kauai Coffee customers. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong coaching, leadership, and communication skills, and must possess a continuous improvement mindset to drive results.   

 

Primary Functions:

  • Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations and monitor the safety, quality and productivity of warehouse team personnel
  • Assign workloads and daily tasks; establish individual productivity goals of warehouse staff 
  • Supervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Lead operational procedures to include the incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain and handle the organization of inventory
  • Plan schedules and resource allocation for the completion of job assignments while keeping time and attendance records 
  • Responsible for the integrity of the physical inventories, such as recordkeeping and documentation while ensuring timely and accurate warehouse transactions
  • Execute against performance goals – engage and coach teams for high productivity and success
  • Support and assist with the training of new hires
  • Conduct performance reviews and assist with setting goals as needed
  • Responsible for efficient and effective operations of shipping and receiving – ensuring customer orders are met and procedures are followed
  • Execute direct sales deliveries, supporting the service strategies in place
  • Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees; ensure current policies are in place and followed with uniformity and consistency  
  • Maintain departmental programs which assure full compliance with Federal and State warehouse safety and sanitation standards; maintain sanitation standards and recordkeeping as required
  • Participate in external and internal audits 
  • Responsible for warehouse fleet management, maintenance, training, and recordkeeping
  • Utilize continuous improvement methods to establish and complete projects to improve processes 
  • Perform other duties and special projects related to distribution as needed 

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BA or BS college degree preferred, or equivalent strong and relatable work experience such as inventory/warehouse management 
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience in a warehousing environment required
  • Efficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience executing engagement initiatives strongly preferred
  • Strong problem solving and planning skills with a focus on the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute are essential to this position
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to provide accurate, timely, courteous, and professional communication – with a strong desire to reach resolutions
  • Required knowledge of accepted quality assurance procedures and guidelines, effective oral and written communication skills, and expertise in the areas of human relations skills and customer service
  • Ability to direct, consult, gain consensus, and effectively delegate required – with strong coaching and mentorship skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse inventory management procedures required

 

Food Safety Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Must comply with all Federal, State, Corporate, Warehouse and Food Safety standards, policies, and guidelines (i.e., HACCP, GMP, SQF, FDA, etc.).  Training in this area will be provided.
