Purpose:
The HR intern performs various administrative tasks in support of the HR department. They screen resumes, schedule interviews, post job ads, and assist in preparing HR-related reports. Additionally, they may address employee queries, distribute company policies, and participate in organizing company events. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in HR processes, allowing interns to gain a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and contribute to the smooth operation of the department.

- Company Values: Ensures all company values are adhered to and promoted. This would include leading by example.
- Recruiting and Hiring Support: Assists in the recruitment and hiring process that results in a high performing work force. Helps with strategies for interns, service technicians and service support personnel. Facilitates the hiring and interviewing process with any eligible candidates; including providing support for hiring managers. Posts, updates, and coordinates open positions at KanEquip, in a timely and effective manner. Creates and coordinates marketing materials for recruitment and retention. Represents KanEquip, Inc. at career fairs, career education events, high schools and other public relation activities.
- Scholarship/sponsorship program: Successfully recruits high school students across the state for the KanEquip scholarship program. Works with our scholarship and sponsored students to facilitate their enrollment and growth process throughout their education experience.
- Onboarding & training of employees: Working with employees and management to complete onboarding.
- Employee Retention: Coordinates and provides assistance to special projects pertaining to employment retention and recruitment.
- HR Administration: Effectively conducts all HR administrative work in a timely manner in order to maintain compliance with all policies, regulations and laws.
Requirements:
- High school junior/senior
- Ability to follow direction and desire to learn
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) and general computer skills
