Principal Accountabilities

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
Fire-alarm troubleshooting and installation/construction
Design and carry out minor modifications on industrial equipment
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
Install industrial instrumentation and related devices
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Possess journeyman electrician ticket or equivalent
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud, noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to work overtime, weekends, different shifts (4,5,5,4), and holidays with advance notice
Basic ability to use a computer and typing skills
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
Must meet and perform maintenance electrical task
Experience with troubleshooting control failures
Experience with electrical test equipment
Has a knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
Able to work in a fast paces environment
Able to work under pressure
Ability to adapt quickly with industrial equipment
Experience with Allen Bradley VFD

Preferred Qualifications

Able to perform maintenance trades including Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
Prior experience in production/manufacturing related work
Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Experience with Arc flash and shock training
Experience with fire alarm
