These endeavors have been around for centuries and will continue to be a vital part of the global economy. We currently have a position available at our Land & Livestock location in Grand View, ID. Grand View is an agricultural community on the Snake River, near the C.J. Strike Reservoir.
SUMMARY Ensure that maintenance and repairs on equipment are accomplished properly and timely. Repairs and overhauls automobiles, trucks, four wheelers, and other automotive vehicles and related components/attachments by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Raises vehicle, with hydraulic or air jack, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle. Changes tires/wheels on all vehicles including and up to feed trucks. Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns front end, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, and solders leaks in radiator. Inspects finished tasks to ensure that proper parts and methods were used for repairing equipment malfunctions.
Examines vehicle and discusses with driver or Shop Supervisor nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
Performs troubleshooting on problem equipment in order to set job priority on crucial repairs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have own hand tools. Farm mechanic experience desired, but not required.
