U.S. Agribusiness Job Report:  Employers – More than 115,000 U.S. applications were processed through AgCareers.com in 2013.  Fifty-seven percent of applicants had a bachelor’s degree or higher and 36% had 10-plus years of experience.  The full job report also documents applicants by region and occupation, and details trends in jobs postings by region, career and industry type.

Applicant education level:  25% High School Diploma, 3% Skilled Trade Certificate, 11% Associate Degree, 43% Bachelor’s Degree, 11% Master’s Degree, 3% Doctorate/PhD, 3% not specified.  Experience:  43% of U.S. applicants’ most recent occupation was ag related; 44% of U.S. applicants’ most recent occupation was non-ag related; 10% were students and 3% were not specified.  Applicant Years of Experience:  36% had 10-plus years of experience, 12% had 6-9 years of experience and 38% had 1-5 years of experience, 14% had less than 1 year of experience.
