POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for managing a network of market development programs for the organizations with focus on biofuels. This includes implementation of objectives and tactics of the Indiana Soybean Alliance checkoff (ISA) and ISA membership and policy initiatives, the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) and the Indiana Corn Growers Association (ICGA).
Expertise in designing and executing results-driven initiatives with a business-minded approach, ensuring measurable outcomes and accountability. Strong knowledge of agricultural commodities for corn and soy, commercial supply chains, and transportation logistics, with specialized focus on ethanol, biodiesel, sustainable aviation fuel, and renewable diesel production and distribution.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Cultivate and manage strategic, high-level relationships with industry leaders, and key stakeholders to advance the organization's mission to increase demand for Indiana corn and soybean products with a focus on biofuels business development.
- Development of projects grounded in farmer priorities while applying a business-oriented perspective to ensure efficiency, accountability and measurable impact.
- Ensure operational excellence through effective project administration, budget management, and program implementation.
- Expertise in building market development strategies for soybeans and corn-spanning international exports, biofuels promotion, and high oleic adoption strategies-to strengthen farmer profitability and long-term demand.
- Collaborate across departments on integrated initiatives, aligning communications, and programming efforts to support strategic objectives.
- Serve as both a strategic leader and operational executor, combining long-term vision with disciplined implementation and stakeholder relationship management.
- Provide subject matter expertise on key policy priorities within trade and export market access, biofuels policy, infrastructure investment, logistics and supply chain efficiency working collaboratively with national organizations to align strategy and impact.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an equivalent of the following education and/or experience.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant discipline with 7+ years of experience.
- Commercial agriculture or food P&L management, sales, merchandising, trading, product management or logistics.
- Strong analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills with a business-minded customer-centric approach.
- Proven ability at consensus building and trust and credibility maintenance with stakeholders, farmers and co-workers.
- Strong project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects, escalating priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) with aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with marketing team to leverage social media, print, broadcast and event promotion through tailored content creation and audience engagement strategies.

- Position requires focus, creativity, and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment with tight deadline and shifting priorities.
- Full-time exempt role with a minimum of 40 hours per week expected.
- Regular travel within Indiana, as well as out-of-state and international travel, typically with reasonable advance notice.
- Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, crouch, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds.
