Position Summary:
As the General Manager, you will have full operational and strategic responsibility for ensuring profitable growth and operational excellence across our specialty crops agricultural operations in North Dakota, Minnesota and neighboring states. This semi-independent role aligns with the broader strategic vision and core values of the parent company, directly influencing overall corporate success.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop and implement business plans that will grow the profitable revenue and net income of the business unit while supporting the overall strategy of the parent company.
- Provide guidance and strategic leadership to Minn Dak management team and assist with operational activities as required.
- Manage strategic operational relationships with partners, suppliers and vendors.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational workflows, implement best practices, and drive initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Work in conjunction with senior leadership team to implement operational and organization expansion activities.
- Provide reports and collaborate with the U.S. Board of Directors as required.
- Supports and ensures compliance with the U.S. Health and Safety programs.
- Other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Self-starter with proven ability to build and implement profitable growth tactics, actions, and strategies in the business.
- Previous experience with leading, coaching and influencing a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Excellent financial acumen with proven experience in budgeting.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary degree in Agribusiness, Business Management or other related education
- 10 years of previous experience in the food industry
- 5+ years of previous leadership experience
- Valid driver’s license
