Job Description:

Hensall Co-op is seeking a results-driven, strategic sales leader to lead and grow our agronomy retail business across Southwestern Ontario. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering profitable growth, customer acquisition, and cross-divisional value creation, while building and leading a high-performing sales team. This position will work out of our Hensall location and will report to the Farm Services Manager.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and grow a team of Field Marketers with a strong focus on performance, coaching, and team development
• Drive sales growth, margin performance, and market share expansion
• Own and deliver the agronomy retail sales profit & loss statements, including revenue, gross margin and overall profitability
• Develop and execute annual business and sales plans aligned with divisional and corporate strategy
• Execute customer-focused strategies to increase new business and wallet share
• Champion collaboration across Energy, Grains, Feed, and Food Divisions to capitalize on opportunities for cross selling, etc.
• Hold team members accountable through mentoring, structured performance management, etc.
• Build strong relationships with key customers and support strategic sales opportunities
• Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and excellence
• Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures

 

Job Requirements:
• Strong leadership, coaching and team-building capabilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Strategic thinking skills with a disciplined execution mindset
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Frequent travel within Southwestern Ontario

 

Required Qualifications:
• Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business, Agriculture or related field preferred
• 7 – 10 years of experience in sales, sales leadership, business development or commercial operations
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License
