JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a successful Ag Manufacturer located in Wisconsin who is searching for a VP of Sales & Marketing to lead and direct the sales team to successfully achieve sales revenue, profitability and budgetary objectives.

Essential Duties:
- Utilize market and operational strategies to achieve business objectives for the Sales department.
- Monitor and determine Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as sales and gross profit.
- Develop, implement and manage sales, sales initiatives, sales strategies and sales programs as well as pricing strategies to balance the company's objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Identify, develop and evaluate marketing strategies, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
- Access strengths and weakness of the sale team and manage the sales program accordingly.
- Monitor and develop sales plans for current and potential accounts.
- Provide on the ground support for the sales team as they generate new leads and close deals. Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs.
- Set and manage quarterly and annual sales goals. As well as monitor, analyze and communicate monthly sales data.
- Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
- Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with Marketing/Graphic Designer.
- Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of customer service, marketing and inside/outside sales reps and oversee their daily activities.
- Participate in developing new products, modifying existing products and suggesting terminations of ineffective products.
- Create and use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products and/or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
- Select products and accessories to be displayed at trade association shows.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Work with the President to determine price schedules and discount rates.
- Advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
- Represent company at trade association shows, meetings, and conferences to promote products, generate sales, and increase market knowledge.
- Confer with potential customers regarding product needs and advise customers on products to purchase.
- Effectively direct delegation of authority to the appropriate subordinates.
- Implement company and departmental policies, procedures and service standards in conjunction with management.
- Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems.
- Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
