QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years of experience in embryology work and a Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Some knowledge/understanding of small ruminant reproduction
- Good hand to eye coordination. with a strong attention to detail and organization
- Works effectively in a team as well as alone (ability to work independently)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and have self motivation
- Comfortable handling sheep and goats & lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel to farm and other host sites to do work
- Willingness to travel for extended periods of time during peak breeding season (June thru September)
- Collaborate across multiple teams
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products especially fluent in Excel
- Must be a US citizen or possess a current and appropriate working visa
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a qualified Vet Assistant with interest in small ruminant and embryology in our clients breeding services division. Seeking a person who is a self-starter, who can see the big picture, is forward-thinking, and has the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment. This individual will work alongside our veterinarians to assure the success of our sheep and goat breeding programs. The position will play a key role in embryo collections, grading and transfers while being involved in our expansion into IVF. This position reports to the Breeding Services Team Lead. Individual needs good communication collaborating with all department heads, as well as keeping in touch with all your team members. Communication is key to success with all.
